How our guarantees work
This page lists every guarantee Catalog Scribe offers, with its conditions, together with our refund and cancellation rules. A promise that is not on this page or in your order confirmation is not a guarantee we make. No guarantee pays you more money than you paid us: a guarantee is honoured as a refund of what you paid, as credit toward our work, or as more work.
Our guarantees
Reject the pilot, owe nothing
What we promise: Your first catalog batch starts with a 300-SKU pilot from your own export, which you grade before the rest of the batch runs. If you reject the pilot, the order ends and nothing is owed.
Conditions: You reject the pilot by replying to us before you approve it.
What you get: The whole batch order ends with nothing owed. Nothing is invoiced before you approve the pilot, so there is nothing to pay or refund.
Time limit: Until you approve the pilot. Once you approve it, the rest of the batch runs and 50% of the batch is invoiced.
How to claim: Reply to the email that delivered the pilot, or email hello@catalogscribe.com, saying that you reject the pilot.
Who decides: You do. We end the order on your reply and confirm it by email.
Most you can receive: The batch price is not charged at all.
Thirty days of fixes
What we promise: For 30 days after delivery, we re-check every value you report as wrong against its linked source and re-issue the corrected rows.
Conditions: You email us the SKU and the field you believe is wrong within 30 days after delivery.
What you get: Corrected rows for each reported value that its source shows was wrong, at no charge.
Time limit: 30 days after delivery of the file.
How to claim: Reply to the email that delivered the file, or email hello@catalogscribe.com, naming each SKU and field.
Who decides: We do, by re-checking the value against its linked source. If the source supports our value, we keep it and tell you which part of the source shows it.
Most you can receive: Corrected rows for every reported value; this guarantee pays no money.
Refunds
If you ask for your money back, we first offer to credit what you paid toward a redo or another of our offers. If you still want a refund, we refund what you paid. We make that offer once and do not press it, and a refund is never more than you paid. Refunds go back by the method you paid with.
Cancellation
First catalog batch. Before you approve the pilot, you may cancel by replying CANCEL or by rejecting the pilot; the order ends and nothing is owed. After you approve the pilot, you may cancel by replying CANCEL: we stop work and send you the rows finished so far, the 50% invoiced at approval stays owed, and the 50% due on delivery is not invoiced.
Later catalog batch. You may cancel by replying CANCEL: we stop work and send you the rows finished so far, the 50% invoiced when you accepted the order stays owed, and the 50% due on delivery is not invoiced.
Upkeep pass. Each pass is a separate order. You may cancel a pass before its file is delivered by replying CANCEL, and nothing is owed for it.
Claims and requests
To claim a guarantee, ask for a refund, or cancel, email hello@catalogscribe.com or reply to any email from us. We reply by email within 2 business days, and we tell you in writing what we decided and why, naming any condition that was not met.
